About Kvatropirci

Kvatropirci are a Slovenian vocal pop group from Kamnik, active since 2011. They sing pop built on melodic multi-part male harmonies with guitar, both their own songs and new arrangements of well-loved Slovenian melodies.

The founding members met in the Kamnik mixed choir Odmev, where all of them had sung for years. Today the quartet is the tenors Samo Kališnik and Tomaž Krt, the bass Matej Kocen and the baritone Albin Jordan. Kocen joined in 2019 in place of the first bass, Gorazd Zapušek, and in 2022 Jordan took over from the baritone Jure Jaklič.

At Melodije morja in sonca in Portorož they sang "Pesem" with Manca Špik in 2016, won the most audience votes and came second overall. In 2019 their own song "Veter je vel" again finished second and won the festival's award for the best performance.

Their album Do:Zdaj came out in 2020. For their tenth anniversary in 2021 they released "Mila", written by Samo Kališnik with lyrics by his partner Jasmina Šmarčan, with a video filmed in Venice, and went on a ten-concert tour of Slovenia. Later songs include "Nepozabljena" (2023), "Če verjameš v ljudi" with Manca Špik (2024), "Obljubim ti" with Marko Škugor (2025) and "Helij" at the end of 2025.

Kvatropirci like to sing with others: "Res je dober dan" with Jan Plestenjak, "Želim" with Klapa Kampanel, "Snežinki" with Žan Serčič, "Decembrski dan" with Fehtarji, "Usojena" with Nika Zorjan and a new version of a hit by Alya. In 2026 the quartet is celebrating fifteen years together with anniversary concerts.
