Nika Zorjan

Nika Zorjan is a Slovenian pop singer, lyricist and television personality, born on 3 December 1992 in Murska Sobota. Her music moves between pop, dance and house, and she has been performing since 2010. She first sang in her father's band, Nova legija, and names Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé as her vocal influences.

Television brought her to a wider audience. In the first season of Slovenija ima talent in 2010 she did not reach the semi-finals, but in 2012 she made it to the final of Misija Evrovizija. One of that show's judges, the producer Aleš Vovk (Raay), took her on afterwards, and with him and Marjetka Vovk she released most of her songs until 2025, starting with "Čas za nas" in 2012.

Her breakthrough was "Nasmeh življenja" at Melodije morja in sonca 2013: fifth overall but first in the telephone vote, and number 4 on the SloTop50 chart. "Po dežju" followed in 2014. She also stood on the Eurovision stage as a backing singer, for Tinkara Kovač in 2014 and for the duo Maraaya in 2015.

At EMA 2017 she finished fifth in the final with "Fse", which reached number 5, and the same year "Ni predaje, ni umika" with BQL reached number 6. In 2018 she returned to EMA with "Uspavanka", sang "Za vedno (Za skaus)" at Popevka and had her biggest chart hit, "Luna" with Jonatan Haller, at number 2. "Ola ola" with Isaac Palma reached number 5 in 2019, followed by "Na plažo", "Mojito" and "Zate dovolj". In 2017 she also reached the final of the fourth season of Znan obraz ima svoj glas.

Her first album, Od začetka, came out in 2023. In May 2025 Nika Zorjan ended her collaboration with Raay and Marjetka Vovk, and her earlier songs were taken off YouTube. Since then she has released new songs on her own channel, among them "Lažnive oči" and "Klišé" with Masayah in 2025.
