About Josip Ivančić

Josip Ivančić is a Croatian pop singer and businessman, known by the nickname "the prince of the diaspora". He is a Croat from Bosnia and Herzegovina, born on 20 March 1979 in Tomislavgrad, and he is described as a Croatian singer; he now lives in Split with his wife Jelena (née Bosančić) and their son and daughter. He met Jelena, a model, on the reality show Farma, which made him known to a wide public.

He began singing in 1999, after finishing secondary school, and has released three studio albums: Turbo Folk Party (2002, Song Zelex), Josip Ivančić (2011, BN Music) and Oprosti dušo (2019, Dammic). His singles include "Zapalit ću pola grada", written by Siniša Vuco, "Kraljica diskoteka", "Ovog ljeta bit ćeš moja" with DJ Dyx, "Moja princezo", a duet with Olja Bajrami, and "Viski", a duet with Vuco. With Mate Bulić he recorded "Na livade rosa pala", and his songs "Svatovi" and "Na kamenu rođen" were written by Nenad Ninčević.

"Na kamenu rođen" came out about ten years ago and became popular in Dalmatia and among the diaspora. In July 2025 he released a new version as a duet with Hrvatske ruže; within two days it was at the top of YouTube's most-viewed list, and a month later it had passed a million views. The playlist gathers his love songs and duets.
