About Jasna Milenković Jami

Jasna Milenković, known as Jami, is a Serbian pop-folk singer from Belgrade who grew up in Dorćol, in the centre of the city. Before music she was a gymnast and a diver, and she was Serbian gymnastics champion four times. She was in the first cast of Lane Gutović's cabaret show Kabare at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre, where the actor Žarko Laušević gave her the nickname Jami.

Her first album, Put bola putujem, came out in 1991. Čokolada (1993) made her a star: it won her the title of singer of the year and twelve awards in all, with songs by Marina Tucaković, Aleksandar Radulović Futa, Rođa Raičević and others. In 1994 she sang "Dođi da oslabimo zajedno" at the first Sunčane skale festival.

Šibica followed in 1995, then Virus prevare (1997) and Zažmuri (1998) for ZaM, and Prokleto muško (2000), with "Prokleto muško", "Crni dijamanti" and "Tako, tako". After a break of three years she released Divlja mačka (2003), the compilation One stvari (2004) with three new songs, and Nije svejedno (2006) for City Records, with "Hajde malo malo", "Seks" and the ballad "A ti još pitaš me".

Since then Jami has released singles: "Ostani" (2009), "Gadljiva", which she sang at the Grand Festival in 2012, "Problematična" (2013), "Zabranjeno spavanje" (2016) and "Milf" (2019) with the YouTuber and rapper Gastozz. Many of her videos were directed by Dejan Milićević.
