About Fluentes

Fluentes are a Croatian pop-rock band, founded in Đakovo in 2004 by their frontman and main songwriter, Goran Bošković. They are on Muzika-Balkan as a band from Slavonia: formed in Đakovo, with their music produced in Osijek, they were called "a well-known Osijek band" by Novi list in 2026.

Fluentes started early in 2004, after the break-up of Bošković's previous group Nova, with the single "Kad podigneš zid". The first line-up was Bošković and guitarist Andrej Car with Mladen Čuturilo, Kruno Štrk and Damir Svalina. That band fell apart after a year, and Bošković went on recording demos alone and played a concert in Osijek with Jelena Radan, whose live recordings, among them "Pođi na put", later appeared on YouTube. Their followers on Facebook brought Goran, Kruno and Andrej back together, with Antonio Krupilnicki on bass, and the English "Upside Down" became the Croatian "Opet zaljubljen". Their producer is Željko Nikolin in Osijek.

In 2013 the band signed with Menart and released "Opet zaljubljen"; bassist Matija Nikolin joined, and "Možda mir" and "Nisam sam" followed. In February 2015 they released "Pođi na put" with Jelena Radan, named song of the year 2015 by Music Pub Zlatka Turkalja, and in December "Jedni drugima" with Vjeko Filipović of Tamburaši slavonske krvi. For the project Zimzeleno, a novo they covered Kićo Slabinac's "Plavuša", and in 2016 drummer Tomislav Hajduković joined for the single "Vrijeme".

Their breakthrough came in mid-2017 with "Pusti da ljubav nosi me", which reached number four on the national chart, and on 5 June 2017 Menart released their first album, Igra čekanja, with every single they had recorded. Early in 2018 Music Pub named them group of the year 2017, they sang "Napokon" at the 65th Zagreb Festival and were nominated for the Porin for new artist of the year.

The second album, Putnici, came out in 2023, with singles such as "Ljetna haljina", "Tišina u meni" with Dora & Nera, and "Red" (2025). In 2026 they released "Bezuvjetno", a song that grew out of a melody Bošković had improvised at a concert years before, and they are working on a third album, whose first part is the EP Treći korak.
