About Elvira Rahić
Elvira Rahić is a pop-folk singer, born on 1 September 1973, who began her professional career in 1991. She has made ten studio albums and lives between Sarajevo and Vienna.
Her first album, Ekstra folk hit, came out in 1991 and was followed by Želim te (1992), Želim ti sreću (1994), Sada znam (1995), Šta ako se zaljubim (1997), Izbriši sve uspomene (1999), Ljubav gospodine (2001) and Hotel "Čekanje" (2005). In 1994 she recorded "A sada idem" and "Baraba" with the rock singer Mladen Vojičić Tifa, and in 1996 she released "Na tugu bi' pristala".
Her ninth album, Miraz, was released by Hayat Production on 14 February 2008 and produced by Muhamed Šehić Hamić. She co-wrote much of it herself, including the title song, "Bijela zastava", "Nikad više", "Nisam znala" and "Idem". "There's nothing autobiographical," she said of the title, "dowry is the dream of every girl and pride of all parents." Among the bonus tracks was "Legendi sevdaha", written by Semka Torlak and Eldin Huseinbegović, which she later released as a single in 2014.
Cura sa čaršije, her tenth album, followed on 11 April 2011, again on Hayat Production. Produced by Mirko Šenkovski "Geronimo" and mixed by Marin Meštrović, it brought her a new style. It was presented at a party at the Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo on 30 May 2011, and she toured under its name. Its songs include "1001", the title track, "Matura", "Super mama", "Bosanac" with DJ Deny, the traditional song "Što da pravam" and the duet "Dođi na godinu" with Enes Begović.
Since then she has released singles such as "Putnik" (2012), "Ne odustajem" and "Fobija" (2014) and "Igračka" (2022).
