About Enes Begović
Enes Begović is a pop-folk singer and producer from Visoko, born on 6 June 1965. He is best known for "Bosanac", the 1990 song and album that sold at least 500,000 copies and is still among his most-played songs.
In 1978, while at secondary school in Visoko, he passed an audition as a solo vocalist, which first sparked his interest in music. He turned professional in 1985 with the album Još samo jednom sjeti se on the Diskoton label, and his second album, Šta bih ja bez tebe (1987), brought the hit "Siroče".
In 1990 he moved from Diskoton to Jugodisk for his third album, Bosanac, and both the album and its title song became huge successes. The albums kept coming: Noćima nema kraja (1991), Noćna ptica (1993), Noći pune ljubavi (1995), Od života uzmi sve (1997), Oprosti joj, Bože (1999), Samo jednom se živi (2001), Da se napijem (2002), Tako te volim (2004), Oči boje badema (2006), Za ljubav (2008), Lijepa je (2011) and 19 (2019). In all he has recorded 16 albums and more than 200 songs.
He was a regular at the Bihać festival, singing "Zoro plava" in 1997, "Zvijezdo moga neba" in 1998, "Ljubavno ludilo", a duet with Asmir, in 2002 and "Odustajem" in 2006. In 2008 he won the Ilidža festival with "Duša Sarajeva", written by Dragan Stojković Bosanac. In March 2011 he recorded the pop-rock duet "Dva jarana" with Mladen Vojičić Tifa, written by Amir Jesenković; the song had first been meant for Nihad Alibegović.
On 26 November 2011 a concert at Sarajevo's Mirza Delibašić Hall marked 25 years of Enes Begović's professional career, and the same year he shared the compilation Najveći hitovi with Semir Cerić Koke. He tours widely for the Bosnian diaspora. His 2016 Australian tour opened in Perth on 4 March, went on to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, and ended with two concerts in Melbourne on 18 and 19 March. Among the songwriters he has worked with is Eldin Huseinbegović.
