About Divas
Divas were a girl pop group from Zagreb: Ivana Husar, Marija Husar, Maja Vučić and Martina Pongrac. The four founded the group on Christmas Eve 1995 and were active until 2005, releasing three studio albums and two live albums and winning several Porin awards. Their best-known songs include "Sexy cool", "Oprosti mi", "Da ili ne", "Bon appetit" and "Tvoja jedina".
They had sung together since childhood in the girls' choir Zvjezdice, where they spent years singing both classical and pop music. In 1994, before Divas existed, they sang backing vocals for Tony Cetinski at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Nek' ti bude ljubav sva".
In 1996 the group competed at Dora with "Sexy cool", and their first maxi single came out at the end of that year. After the song's big success and a Porin, the debut album Ladies followed in 1997, with the hits "Funky maniac", "Pet" and "Sexy cool". In 1999 Divas sang at the Split festival for the first time and won its Grand Prix with "Da ili ne", the lead song of their second album, Divas, released by Croatia Records at the end of that year.
In December 2000 they gave two solo concerts at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, released as the live album HNK Live, Božićne zvjezdice. Their last studio album, Bon appetit, came out on Menart early in 2002. Its singles included the title song with rapper General Woo and the very successful duet "To nismo mi" with Oliver Dragojević.
In 2005, after a concert called Divas & dive at the Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall, the group announced that they were splitting up, and the concert became their second live album. The playlist gathers the songs of Bon appetit, among them "Tvoja jedina", "Ne krivi me", "Nema razloga" and "To nismo mi".
