About Dejan Aličić

Dejan Aličić is a Serbian folk singer and the son of the folk singer Ljuba Aličić from his first marriage, and he has followed his father into music. His father was behind his first records: Ljuba produced Dejan's 1993 album Ostani sa mnom ti, released by Renome, and wrote the music for most of its songs, among them the title track and "Otišla je bez i jedne reči". The title song also appeared that year on the compilation Raspevana jesen '93.

In 1996 he released Do kraja care with Čvorak Band, again produced by his father. Most of its songs were written by Čeda Čvorak, including "Mislio sam preboleću", and it held a new version of "Otišla je bez i jedne reči".

His self-titled album for Gold Audio Video came out in 2010, with "Toj sam ženi dao sve", "Životna priča", "Sve mi se vrti u krug", "Krv nije voda" and his duet with his father, "Dajte da pije drugar moj", which Ljuba also put on his own 2011 album Uveli cvet. Later songs appeared on compilations: "Udarna vest" (2015) and "Ljubav Ciganina" (2016) on Grand Production collections, and "Osuđenik" (2017) on Gold Audio Video's Kafanske pesme.

In a 2024 interview with Kurir, Dejan said that he and his father sometimes performed together but were not on close terms; Ljuba denied any rift.
