About Daria Kinzer

Daria Kinzer is a pop singer born on 29 May 1988 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Her father is German and her mother is Croatian. Croatian Wikipedia says she has always considered herself Croatian, and she represented Croatia at Eurovision, which is why she is on this site. She speaks both Croatian and German.

She grew up in Vienna, where she earned a degree in management and also studied theatre and film. After Dora 2011 she moved to Zagreb and decided to stay there, according to Croatian Wikipedia. Her more recent videos show her on stage in Austria again, in musicals and at schlager shows.

In Vienna she had been singing on stage since 2003. She had leading roles in productions of Chicago, Cats, Hair, Little Shop of Horrors and Beauty and the Beast. She performed at Vienna City Hall, the Vienna Stock Exchange and Schönbrunn Palace, and released a pop album, 2 Nice, in Austria. She also sang at a Croatian tamburica concert in Vienna and on the show Svirci moji.

On 5 March 2011 she won Dora, Croatia's selection for Eurovision, with "Lahor", a song by Boris Đurđević. At the contest in Düsseldorf she sang it in English as "Celebrate" in the first semi-final on 10 May, finished 15th and did not reach the final. The song also came out in German as "Diese Nacht", in French as "C'est la fête" and in Russian. In 2013 she released Zwischen Himmel und Erde, an album of German songs.

The playlist gathers her recordings, from "Lahor" and "Celebrate" to the songs of Zwischen Himmel und Erde.
