About Apsolutno Romantično
Apsolutno Romantično is a band from Novi Sad, formed in 1999 by the brothers Petar Alvirović (vocals, guitar) and Zoran "Kina" Alvirović (guitar, vocals), who had played in Garavi Sokak. Their sound is a warm, largely unplugged mix of pop rock, folk rock and the old songs of Vojvodina, built around Kina's guitar playing.
Actor Nenad Vujanović soon joined on percussion, and in 2000 bassist Željko Glamočanin and drummer Dragan Tasić completed the line-up. That year the band released its debut album, Kasno je prepraviti stih. The second album, Naša ulica u nebo se penje (2003), included "Đoletova pesma", recorded with Đorđe Balašević, and in the same year the band and Momčilo Bajagić recorded the soundtrack for the film Profesionalac.
Teško je biti sam followed in 2005, and in 2012 the band released the double album Vojvođanski spomenar, with 27 traditional songs of Vojvodina in their own versions. Over the years they have played hundreds of concerts at home and abroad and shared the stage with Đorđe Balašević, Bajaga and Rade Šerbedžija. The current line-up has the Alvirović brothers with Julije Dondo on drums and Mihael Horvat on bass.
Songs such as "Osam tamburaša s Petrovaradina", "Dunave", "Maruška" and "Kao topli maj" are among their best known. Their videos and live recordings are gathered here in one playlist.
