About Zvone Bohem

Zvone Bohem, born Zvonimir Žagar, is a Croatian singer and songwriter and a regular at the country's pop festivals. His label Menart calls him a well-known songwriter and a welcome guest of the Međimurje festival, MEF.

His best-known song is "Mare i Kate", which he sang with the footballer Igor Štimac at the Croatian Radio Festival in 1998. Written by Hrvoje Stupar and arranged by Goran Mačužić, it became one of the anthems everyone sang during the World Cup in France, and he also recorded with his Mare & Kate Band. He appears on the Croatian Radio Festival albums of 1998 and 1999.

More festival songs followed at Požega's Zlatne žice Slavonije, among them "Godine prolaze" (2004) and "Prijatelju moj" (2005) with Zdravko Valentin. In 2010 he sang "Noć u Splitu" at the Split festival and "Znam ja gdje je Čakovec" at the Međimurje festival, where that song made him stand out. "Od sutra ne pijem" was sung at Kutjevo in 2012.

Zvone Bohem also wrote "Eržika". With his longtime collaborator Toni Eterović he made "Umoran od ljubavi", which he sang at the Međimurje festival in 2021. In 2022 he released it with a music video that he scripted himself, shot in the Zagreb villa Srčeko and directed by Max Hozić. The song is about lost love; Bohem said that, tired of love or not, he still lives in love with his partner Gordana.
