About Žanamari

Žanamari Perčić, born Lalić and known simply as Žanamari, is a Croatian pop and pop-rock singer-songwriter, born on 8 September 1981 in Makarska. She won the first Hrvatski idol in 2004, and in 2013 she was a contestant in the eighth season of Ples sa zvijezdama.

As a teenager she did well in competitions for young pop singers. After studying at the American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik she went to Germany, where Clubware Records released her first single, "Feels Like Heaven", in 2001, and she placed high on Deutschland sucht den Superstar. After winning Hrvatski idol she signed with Croatia Records, released her first hit, "Treba mi snage za kraj", and in August 2005 her debut album, Žanamari. She sang at Dora with "Kako da te volim" in 2005, "Ljubav za jednu noć" in 2006 and "Jedino moje" in 2007, her first song as a writer, and recorded "Znam" with Deen and "Sinoć nisi bila tu" with Kemal Monteno.

With "Ljubav" and "Crni leptire" she turned towards pop-rock, and in 2009 she formed the band J'Animals. The singles "Nije napola" and "Kreten pomalo" ruled the radio, and the band grew around guitarist Jura Geci, drummer Emil Kranjčić, bassist Sebastian Jurić, who also plays in Sane, keyboard player Nikola Vranić and guitarist Gordan Dragić of Skauti. Their album Druga vrsta came out in November 2011, with "Krugovi", "Dijagnoza" and "Gentleman". In 2013 they won the award for best interpretation at Melodije Mostara with "Slobodan pad", opened for Joe Satriani in Zagreb and Ljubljana, played Arsenal Fest and EXIT and released "Kao da nema sutra" and "Oči u oči".

In 2015 Žanamari returned after a maternity break with "Tako blizu" at the 63rd Zagreb festival, solo again but with the same musicians. In 2016 "U ratu i ljubavi", with Aleksandra Kovač, opened a new era of club pop, followed by "Love on the Dance Floor" and "Pina colada" with Joshua Macks; "Pina colada" has passed two million views. Later came "Ubijaš", "Stop" with Lidija Bačić Lille, "24/7" at the 2024 CMC festival and "Lagala" with Gidra and Nered at the 2025 one.

The playlist is her own collection of her music videos, from "Treba mi snage za kraj" and the J'Animals years to "U tvojim rukama".
