About The Trigger

The Trigger, often called just Trigger, is a hard rock and heavy metal band from Belgrade, formed in 2005 by guitarist and songwriter Dušan Svilokos Đurić and bassist Petar "Pera" Popović. Singer Milena Branković fronts the band, and drummer Zoran Jović "Đavo" and keyboardist Marko Antonić joined soon after it was formed.

They started promoting their debut at the Belgrade Beer Fest in 2007, and the concept album Ljubav came out that year on PGP-RTS. Its single "Jedan dan" went to number one on the TV Panonija chart, the TV Metropolis Top 10 and Radio 202's Hit of the Week, and in 2008 TV Metropolis named the band its Discovery of the Year. A five-song mini-album, Metropolis Live, followed in 2009 as a free download, together with the video for "Više neće biti nas".

Their second album, EX (2012), released in three parts from 2011, is a set of covers of former Yugoslav new wave songs, among them "Ena", "Ne veruj u idole", "Kurvini sinovi", "Ogledalo" and "Opasne igre". Antonić left after it and the band went on as a four-piece. The single "Ne hrani ljudoždere" came in July 2013, followed by "Srećna nova" and "Ponor".

Those songs led to Vreme čuda (2015), with second guitarist Božidar Mladenović, formerly of By-Pass. Serbian Metal named it the domestic metal album of the year, and Balkanrock put it on its list of the best regional rock albums. In 2019 the band signed with Massacre Records and released The Time of Miracles, an English-language album of reworked songs, with the singles "Pray" and "What Have We Become". In between came "Kad savest te zaboli" (2016) and "Bum" (2017) with Marko of Manntra.

The band recently released "Svako za sebe" and is recording Folklor part II. The playlist gathers their official videos, from "Više neće biti nas" to "Pray".
