About Pika Božič
Pika Božič is a Slovenian pop singer, born on 22 January 1981. She began her career as a teenager in the dance-pop group Sound Attack, which she founded with Simon Šurev, and with the group she sang at the Slovenian Eurovision selection EMA in 1998 with "Zakaj odšel si" and in 1999 with "Kje si zdaj", writing the words of both songs.
She then went solo. At the Hit festival she sang "Vem, da misliš name" in 2002 and "Nisem lahek plen" in 2003, the latter written by Aleš Klinar with words by Anja Rupel, which finished fourth. Klinar and Rupel also wrote "Ne bom čakala te", with Pika sharing the lyrics, and she sang it at EMA 2003, where it came sixth. By 2007 she had released two albums, Pika Style and Pika Star.
Among her best-known songs are "Ne bom čakala te", "Vem, da misliš name" and "Jaz in ti", and many listeners remember her above all for "Komar", the hit she sang with Čuki. In 2009 she announced a new album, Shine, led by the single "Eno" and recorded partly in Slovenia and partly in Los Angeles, with musicians such as Jani Hace on bass and keyboard player Philippe Saisse. She is the half-sister of the musician and TV host Davor Božič.
