About Overdrive

Overdrive is a hardcore punk and metalcore band from Zrenjanin. Guitarist Dragan Midorović formed it in 1992, and at first it was a cover band with changing line-ups. When singer Damir Milutinov and guitarist Aleksandar Midorović joined, the band began writing its own songs, almost all of them in English.

The debut album No More Words came out on Boa Records in 1997, followed by Everything's Fine in 2000. Movement, released by PGP-RTS in 2004, mixed new songs with live versions of older ones and a cover of Madonna's "Erotica". The fourth album, Explode, was released in 2010 as a free download through Exit Music, and that year the band played the Sziget festival in Budapest.

Over the years Overdrive opened for Pro-Pain, Soulfly, The Prodigy, Slayer and Korn. In 2012 the band recorded its first song in Serbian, a cover of the folk classic "Ova naša livada", which stayed in the live set. After a long pause it came back in 2017 with Nemanja Konstantinović on bass, and in 2018 released "Dembelija", sung entirely in Serbian and inspired by a children's song. The video for "I Found My Way Out" followed in February 2024. All their albums are on the band's own channel, gathered here.
