Loredana

Loredana Zefi, known simply as Loredana, is a rapper and singer born on 1 September 1995 in Lucerne, Switzerland, into an Albanian family from Ferizaj in Kosovo. Wikipedia describes her as a "Swiss-born Kosovar rapper", and with her family's roots in Ferizaj she is listed here among the artists of Kosovo. Her songs mix hip hop and R&B in German and Albanian.

She became interested in music at 18 and wrote songs for other artists with the German producer Macloud. In 2018 she drew attention online with short dance and lip-sync videos and through her relationship with the Kosovo Albanian rapper Mozzik, whom she married that year. Her debut single, "Sonnenbrille", came out in June 2018 and went gold in Germany and Austria. After she signed with Sony Music's German branch, "Bonnie & Clyde" with Mozzik followed in September and did just as well.

In 2019 she and Mozzik released "Romeo & Juliet", which reached number two in Germany, and "Eiskalt", certified gold in Germany and Austria. Her debut album, King Lori, came out in September 2019 and reached the top three in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with the singles "Genick", "Mit dir", "Jetzt rufst du an" and her first German number one, "Kein Plan". That November she won Best Swiss Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

In 2020 she had four more number-one singles: "Kein Wort" with the German rapper Juju, "Angst" with the English producer Rymez, "Du bist mein" with Zuna, and "Nicht verdient". Her second album, Medusa (2020), reached the top 20 in all three German-speaking countries, while her King Lori Tour was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After a short break she and Mozzik released their first joint album, No Rich Parents, in 2021, with the number-one single "Rosenkrieg". In 2023 she went on the Wifey Tour. Her awards and nominations include Bravo Otto Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards and Swiss Music Awards.
