Hule

Husnija Mešaljić, known as Hule, is a Bosnian turbo-folk singer. He was born on 22 January 1971 in Zahirovići and grew up in Previle near Srebrenik in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan under Bosnia. For more than 25 years he has lived and worked in Graz, Austria, where his music career began.

His first studio album, Istina, came out in 2001, with songs such as "Crna ženo", "Slatkiš", "Emira" and "Lidija". A year later followed Istine se ne bojim, with "Dovraga sve", "Naći ću je, naći" and "Od kafane do kafane", and above all with the two songs that made him widely known, "Noćna dama" and "Pukni čašo". The lyrics, music and arrangements on that album were written by Zijad Husić Zike and Zahid Husejnović Zajko. In 2003 the label Renome released his third album, Tigrica, with "Podstanar", "Sudija" and "Stari druže".

More albums followed: Žena (2004), with "Pretpostavljam" and "Kad telefon zazvoni"; Zlatar (2006), with the title song and "Uličarka"; and Pobjednici istoriju pišu (2008), with "Sirota djevojka", "Ne budi kockar" and "Da me vidi babo". On Za sve je praznik kriv (2009) he sang "Stojim na zeleno, idem na crveno" and "Sine moj", and on Crna tuđina (2011) "Romantika" and "Gas, gas", a duet with Elmir Musić (Eko) that got a video. After the compilation Hitovi (2012) came Žena s tetovaže, which includes "Daleko je Sandžak moj", a duet with Kemal Malovčić.

In 2014 he released "Vječiti momak", "Hajde Hano", "Stara fotografija" and "Dva brata", a duet with Deni Hadžić, all collected on the album Kuća ljubavi (2015, OTV Valentino). "Moja djeca" and "Lik bez adrese" followed in 2016. Concerts across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia kept him so busy that the next single, "Knjiga vjenčanih", only came out at the end of 2018. "Lutam gradom" (2019), composed by Mensura Barjaktarević with lyrics by Teša Mrkonjić, got a popular video. Later singles include "Pjesma majci", and in 2022 "Vidimo se u Bosni" and "Idi ženo"; the album Evo svadbe came out in 2023.
