About Hašim Ćatić
Hašim Ćatić is a folk singer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. His name already appears on records in the early 1980s: Discogs credits him, together with Kemal Malovčić, with the lyrics of "Ja ću znati šta sin piše tati", the B-side of a 1981 Diskos single by Džemal Malovčić.
His own first album, Otvori srce vatreno, came out on Diskos in 1987, recorded with the ensemble of Aca Stepić, who wrote the music and produced it. Besides the title song it holds "Sam u sobi, sam za stolom", "Domovino moja mila", "O mladosti moja", "Ej živote, lažni druže" and "Volela je druga moga". In 1989 Vojvodinakoncert released his self-titled album, recorded with the orchestra of Bora Višnjički, with songs such as "Pomozite svom jaranu", "Ljiljana", "Da nam živi Hanka", "Drugog nađi" and "Moja tugo", and the same label put four of them on a promotional EP.
Much later he made the album Proliveno vino for BN Music, dated 2012 on Discogs. It holds nine songs, among them the title track, "Život nikom ne ostaje dužan", "Kafana života", "Jablan" and "Čovjek sa dvije duše". In 2016 he sang "Djeca Sanskog Mosta" on Kemal Malovčić's album Kralj pjesme. His videos for "Proliveno vino" and "Jablan" are gathered here.
