Gregor Ravnik

Gregor Ravnik is a Slovenian tenor who sings both opera and pop. He was born on 22 May 1993 in Koper and comes from Ankaran on the Slovenian coast, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan under Slovenia. He works in Slovenia: since March 2026 he has been one of the hosts of the morning show Dobro jutro on TV Slovenija, and in the autumn of 2026 he toured Slovenian towns with his band.

Music came from home: his mother was a music teacher and his father played the trumpet. He learned piano at the music school in Koper, sang in its choir and took singing lessons while at the Koper grammar school. In 2014 he began studying solo singing at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, graduated with distinction in 2018 and went on to postgraduate study. Alongside music he also completed a degree in dental medicine in 2020.

On the opera stage he made his debut in 2014 in Larry Coryell's opera War and Peace at Cankarjev dom, and in 2019 he first sang at the SNG Opera in Ljubljana, in Lucia di Lammermoor. He won prizes at singing competitions in Slovenia, in Herceg Novi in Montenegro and in Beeskow in Germany, reached the final of the Virgilijus Noreika competition in Vilnius in 2020, and from 2017 to 2024 he sang in the pop-opera trio Trio Vivere.

His pop career grew out of the festivals. At Melodije morja in sonca he won the award for best performance in 2017 with "Med nama", and in 2023 he won the festival outright with "Torek". He sang "Zdaj je čas" at EMA 2018, his first music video, won the best interpretation award at Slovenska popevka 2018 with "Ti si", and took the jury's grand prize at Popevka 2021 with "Še ko te ni, te imam". He has also sung with Raiven on "Mlade oči".

His debut album, Med nama, came out in February 2024, followed by Verjamem in 2025, with songs such as "Ponoči", "Le midva" and "Slika z morja". The playlist holds Med nama, with the videos for "Med nama", "Torek" and "Ti si znala".
