Gjiko

Gjiko is the stage name of Asdren Gjikolli, a rapper, singer and songwriter from Peja in Kosovo, known across the Albanian-speaking world. Hip hop runs in his family: his brother, the producer Big Bang, has made and arranged much of his music. Gjiko went to the Bedri Pejani gymnasium in Peja, and as a teenager he did parkour, which earned him the nickname "Flyboy".

He has been active since 2012, when he released the album 667 (1 Hap Para Dreqit). In 2013 came the video for "Bari Terla (Shllajferic)" and "Psikopat" with Gjira, in 2014 "1mishe" with Felony. In May 2015 he took part in Top Fest 12 with "Dhipa Splifa"; that summer he released "Si me def", and in November "Edhe tri" with MC Kresha.

2016 brought "Hajt hajt", which he performed at Zhurma Show, "Mos ma përzij", "Hajmali" with Ermal Fejzullahu and "Je shku". In 2017 he released "Yjet Nalt" and "Papuqe Gucci", and recorded duets with Dafina Zeqiri ("Msd"), Skerdi ("Faje") and Nora Istrefi ("Gabime"), which he sang at Zhurma Show. The year ended with "Shtrejt", recorded with Ledri Vula and Lumi B.

In 2018 he released the mixtape Energjiko with goldeneagle, seventeen songs. He has kept recording since, with recent songs such as "Distanca", "Si Bugatti" and "Coco Jumbo", and he is the guest on Nora Istrefi's "Anna".
