Geschwister Pfister

Geschwister Pfister (the Pfister siblings) are a Swiss-German musical cabaret group from Berlin. They are on Muzika-Balkan through their singer Andreja Schneider, "Fräulein Schneider", who was born in Zagreb on 27 May 1964 and left for Cologne with her parents at the age of two. She later moved to Münster and then to Berlin, and German Wikipedia notes her regular engagements at Berlin's Hebbel-Theater. The group is based in Berlin, where it was founded in the early 1990s.

The founders were Christoph Marti, Tobias Bonn, Max Gertsch and Lilian Naef, playing four invented orphans from Zermatt: Ursli, Toni, Willi and Lilo Pfister. Lilo and Willi left, and Andreja Schneider joined. Christoph Marti had given her the nickname Fräulein Schneider when he was a regular at the restaurant where she worked as a waitress while studying German and Slavic studies. On stage she married Toni, so the trio stayed a family.

Their shows mix revue, folk songs, Hollywood schmaltz, bossa nova, vaudeville, swing, yodelling and pop, often as parody, sung live. In 1994 they staged Im weißen Rößl am Wolfgangsee with Max Raabe, Meret Becker and Otto Sander. Albums followed from March for Glory (1995) and The Voice of Snow White (1999) to Home, Sweet Home, Servus Peter – Oh là là Mireille! (2011) and Wie wär's, wie wär's? Die Geschwister Pfister in der Toskana (2013), and they played the leads in the operettas Clivia (2014) and Roxy und ihr Wunderteam (2019) at the Komische Oper Berlin.

The group won the Berliner Kritikerpreis in 1992, the Salzburger Stier in 1993, the Prix Walo in 1995 and the Swiss Performing Arts Prize in 2022. Andreja Schneider has her own stage career as well, from her solo show Pension Schneider to Chicago at the Komische Oper.

The playlist is the group's own channel, with "Akropolis Adieu", "Heut' liegt was in der Luft", "Blue Bayou" and "Party Heut' Nacht!".
