About Germinal
Germinal are a rock band from Maribor, Slovenia. They are on Muzika-Balkan because they are a Maribor band, founded there in 2000; the sources give no other base. They sing in Slovenian and mix classic rock instruments with electronics.
The line-up changed a few times before 2005. Slovenian Wikipedia lists Jani Mule on vocals and guitar, David Stöger on keyboards and backing vocals, Primož Pavlin on bass and Marko Brvar on drums and backing vocals, with Sergej Kleva as a former guitarist; Boštjan Zorc plays guitar on their album.
Besides their own songs they play covers of U2, Queen, Coldplay, Bon Jovi and others, and they have opened for Mi2, Šank Rock and Orlek. For the International Days of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor they recorded "Living Abroad" for the incoming foreign students, and they sang a Slovenian version of it on TV Slovenija.
They introduced themselves with "Neskončna", produced by Zdenko Ženko, who also produced albums of Zoran Predin, and they filmed a video for it. The album Kaos v rdeči, recorded in June 2007, came out in 2008 on Brlogar Records with fourteen songs, among them "Bit Prestissima", "Poet", "Kapljica" and "Neskončna".
The playlist is the band's own channel, with "Neskončna", "Bit Prestissima", "Kapljica" and a promo video.
