About Dežurni krivci

Dežurni krivci ("The Usual Suspects") is a Slovenian rock band from Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici in Prlekija, in the east of the country, which is why it is on Muzika-Balkan under Slovenia. It was formed there in 1996 by Leon Štrakl on vocals and guitar, Marko Čuš on guitar, Tomaž Tibaut on bass and Igor Ketiš on drums, and it sings in Slovenian. Its own page calls it an alternative rock band; the Slovenian culture portal files it under progressive rock.

The band got its first push with a performance at the Novi rock festival in Ljubljana in 2000. Its first album, Nikogaršnje mesto (Daleč od ljubezni), came out in 2001 on its own DK Records, and in 2002 followed Izštekani, acoustic live recordings made for the Val 202 radio show of the same name.

The second studio album, Kakor človek (2003), was produced by Aldo Ivančić, with Meli of Psycho-Path as a guest singer. Strup, produced by Hannes Jaeckel, was released by the band itself in 2007. Two of its songs are also on the compilation Rokerji pojejo pesnike (2005), poems set by rock bands, here with the poet Jožek Štucin. Fakti (2013) and Narobe svet (2019) came out on God Bless This Mess Records; Narobe svet brought the singles "Lačni psi", "Zadnji vlak" and "Rojeni brez imena".

Dežurni krivci have played more than 200 concerts in Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, including the Open Air Ottensheim festival in Austria and, in 2016, Kino Šiška in Ljubljana. Their albums are distributed by Dallas Records. The playlist gathers the band's videos from the Narobe svet era and after.
