About Denis Trap

Denis Trap is a young Slovenian pop singer. He was born on 17 November 2002 in Celje and comes from Skorno pri Šoštanju, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan. In 2026 Radio Ognjišče described him as the organist of the parish in Šmartno ob Paki; no source gives his exact home today.

He started piano at seven at the music school in Velenje, later learned the organ and worked on his singing for several years with the vocalist Irena Vrčkovnik. He went to school in Šmartno ob Paki and Celje and studied at Alma Mater Europaea in Maribor.

In 2019 he won the Slovenska nota competition in Hrastnik, and the prize was his first song, "Noč in dan" by Alex Volasko. "100" followed in 2020, his first song of his own, then "Melodija morja", written with Irena Vrčkovnik, and the Christmas song "Božiček prosim" in 2021. "A prima vista" came out in 2022.

At Ritem srca, the Slovenian festival of Christian pop music, he was the youngest performer in 2023 with "Ljubezen nikoli ne mine". He returned in 2026 with "Vse mine, Bog ostane", a song about slowing down in a hurried world. In between came "Novi valovi" and "Sanjaj, jokaj" in 2024, and in the summer of 2026 "Ocean", again by Alex Volasko. He also sings at exhibitions, literary evenings and charity concerts.

The playlist is his own channel, from "Ocean" back to "100".
