About Dario Pankovski

Dario Pankovski, known simply as Dario, is a Macedonian pop singer and composer. He was born on 23 January 1963 in Skopje, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan under Macedonia, and his whole career has been made on the Macedonian scene; Macedonian Wikipedia does not say where he lives today. His music mixes pop with funk and Latin sounds.

He started in 1980 in the newly founded new wave group Bon-Ton, whose best-known songs were "Dobrite devojki", "Taa mala Maja" and "Staro kupuvam". With Bon-Ton he played several festivals, above all MakFest, and after the group broke up he returned to MakFest several times as a solo singer.

In 1992 he founded Dario i Mig-21. Their first album, Bakterija, came out the same year and gave the hits "Ladna kako kamen", "Kosooka" and "Vikni me na čaj". After changes in the line-up the second album, Fanki saund, followed in 1994 with "Daj da zaspijam", "Seti se" and "Sekoj saka"; "Daj da zaspijam", a Latin ballad, was named the hit of the year 1994. From the same period comes his best-known song, "Dupla votka", which broke every record and stayed on the charts for a long time. In 1996 the group was named the best of the year, and in 1998 it played two big, packed concerts in the Universal Hall in Skopje.

As a solo artist he has released the albums Dario (1999), Istok, zapad, sever, jug (2001), Site porazi i pobedi (2004), Čovek bez spomeni (2008) and Ako silno posakam... (2016), the live album 25 Live! (2006) and several collections of hits and ballads. In 2003 he sang "Ednaš čovek živee" with Aleksandar Mitevski and Ugro.

He is still releasing new songs. The playlist comes from his own channel, from "Što e moe toa ke dojde" and "Inshallah" to "Rakija", "Molitva", "Mojata draga" and "Život e loto" from 2026.
