About Dalmatino

Dalmatino is a Croatian pop band from Split, made up of singer and guitarist Ivo Jagnjić and drummer Zdravko Sunara. They are on Muzika-Balkan as a Split band, and Split is still their base: Croatia Week described them as a Split-based band when they played New York in 2019.

Their debut album, Cukar i sol, came out in 2001 and sold more than 20,000 copies. Croatian Wikipedia credits it with starting a small revolution in Dalmatian pop, and it brought the duo gold, silver and platinum discs and the 2002 Porin award for best new artist. Songs such as "Cukar i sol", "Cvit od kamena", "Ditelina s čet'ri lista", "Zvizda Danica" and "Molitva za ribara" have stayed in their concerts ever since.

The albums Dobro jutro (2003), Lipa rič (2009) and Moj dom (2014) followed, then Instrumentali (2016), a tribute to Mladen Magud, the compilation 20 godina (2019) and the concert album Live 2022. Dalmatino play for Croatian audiences far from home too: after a New Year's Eve show at the Croatian Cultural Centre in New York, they were asked back for an extra concert there in January 2019, and in August 2023 they played the Arena in Pula. The playlist gathers their songs, from "Cvit od kamena" to the live recordings of 2022.
