Cvetanka Laskova

Cvetanka Laskova is a Macedonian pop-folk singer. She was born on 24 February 1955 in Kavadarci, in today's North Macedonia, and that is why she is on Muzika-Balkan under Macedonia.

She began her career in 1973, singing both folk music and pop (zabavna muzika). Her best-known songs include "Daj mi nadež", "Ti mi go zede srceto", "Minuva mladosta" and "Gospod neka ti plati". Her biggest hit came in 1976, when she sang "Momčeto so mandolinata" with Janko Uzunov.

Over the years she has sung at many Macedonian festivals, among them Folk Fest Valandovo, Cvetnici, Folk Fest Rosa and Filigrani. Alongside her singing she went into business in 1991, and since 1992 she has also worked in music production. In 2023 she marked fifty years on stage.

Her songs are now gathered on YouTube by her own Topic channel, and the playlist here shows both sides of her music: Macedonian folk songs such as "Para beli kiselec", "Bitola, Bitola", "So maki sum se rodila" and "Belo lice ljubam jas", and pop-folk songs in Serbian such as "Zovni me večeras" and "Ne ljuti se Miško".
