About Crveno i crno
Crveno i crno (Red and Black) is a pop-rock band from Podgorica, Montenegro, formed in October 2003 by musicians who already had years of concerts, studio work, songwriting, arranging and production behind them.
After many concerts in Podgorica and around Montenegro, the band reached the Music Festival Budva in 2004 with "Moje žeđi gasiš". Singer Tina Džankić and Jovan Džaferović then left, and singer Vesna Milačić Kaja and keyboard player Miša Todorović joined. With Kaja the band entered Montevizija 2005, the Montenegrin round of the Eurovision selection for Serbia and Montenegro, with "Nisam ti jedina", for which they made a video, and they were back at Budva that summer with "Cvijet iz prašine".
Their biggest success in the contests came in 2006. "Anđeo u očima", written by Vesna Milačić and Mihailo Radonjić, finished fifth at Montevizija with 37 points and took the band to the Evropesma final in Belgrade, where it placed eleventh.
With a new singer, Sanja Živković, the band went on with songs by the writing team of Mihailo Radonjić and Goran Atanasković: "Lijepo je..." at the Budva festival in 2006 and "Luda sam bez tebe", which came tenth at MontenegroSong 2007. In January 2010 they launched their album Riječ po riječ, and in 2012 released the video "Udahni svijet", with music by Radonjić and words by Marko Vlahović. "Moje žeđi gasiš" was later included on Croatia Records' 2020 collection 100 originalnih pjesama.
