About Bobby Marz

Bobby Marz, also known simply as Marz, born Zlatko Bobby Hukić, is a rapper and singer. He is on Muzika-Balkan because he was born in Croatia: English Wikipedia calls him a Croatian rapper who was born in Croatia but grew up in Chicago, and names Chicago, Illinois, as the city where he is based.

He started out as a technician at the Chicago Trax recording studio, working for acts such as Peter Gabriel and Ministry. In 1994, while interning there and working on his own material, he met Ministry's Al Jourgensen, who brought him in on the album Filth Pig as guitarist and engineer. Hukić became a full member, toured the world with Ministry and stayed until Dark Side of the Spoon (1999), leaving soon after it was recorded; he later came back for one last tour.

A demo won him a contract with E-Magine Records, and in 2000 he released Lung Fu Mo She, which Drowned in Sound described as a "toxic blend of industrial drumming and guitars mixed with his own bullet proof rhyming flow". Its songs were used in a TV advert for the film Catwoman, in MTV's The Real World and on the Tough Enough 2 soundtrack. In 2000 and 2001 he and his band, with former Ministry members Rey Washam and Louis Svitek, made two nationwide tours with Insane Clown Posse, and he recorded vocals for Dark Lotus, although his contract kept him from joining their label.

In 2002 he toured with Korn on their "Pop Sux" tour and recorded with Jonathan Davis and Swizz Beatz. He released his second album, Gorilla Pimpin', himself; it includes "Cut Throat" with Jonathan Davis. In 2004 he founded his own label, Billion Dollar Ballers Entertainment, and released TGZ Nation: The Mixtape, followed by Against All Odds (2005), Marz Presents: Grind Music The Movement (2007), whose first single "Nawww" featured the Chicago group Block CEOs, and further records up to Revelations (2012). His songs were also used in the films Life and Lyrics and It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006).

In 2022 Lung Fu Mo She appeared on streaming services, and new singles followed, among them "Scars", "Wildflowers" and "5am in Chicago".
