Alogia

Alogia is a Serbian heavy metal band from Smederevo, founded in 2000 by the brothers Miroslav and Srđan Branković, with Srđan on guitar. The first line-up also had Damir Adžić on drums, Ivan Vasić on bass and Branislav Dabić on keyboards. In 2001 they were joined by singers Ivica Lauš and Nikola Mijić, winners of a talent contest on the RTS programme 3K dur.

The debut album, Priče o vremenu, came out on One Records in February 2002, after which keyboardist Vladimir Đedović joined as well. After a pause in 2003, when Vasić and the Branković brothers did their military service, the band signed with the foreign label Locomotive Music in 2004 and released its second album, Priče o životu, that September. Secret Spheres of Art (2005) carried English versions of the first album's songs for the market abroad.

The live album Priče o vremenu i životu uživo u SKC-u (2006) had guests such as Sead Lipovača of Divlje jagode, Vidoja Božinović and drummer Vicko of Riblja čorba and Goran Šepa of Kerber. That year Alogia opened for Apocalyptica at SKC in Belgrade and, with Kraljevski apartman, for Whitesnake at Tašmajdan. In 2010 they recorded "Izdaja" with Slađana Milošević for a tribute to Milan B. Popović.

Priče o snovima (2012), with new bassist Vladimir Ranisavljević and drummer Mića Kovačević and guests Vukašin Brajić on "Od svega umoran" and Dean Clea, took a softer, melodic hard rock direction that many fans did not like. Elegia Balcanica followed in 2014, led by the singles "Vreme je" and "Elegia Balcanica", then the orchestral Live and Loud with Orchestra (2017). The 2020 album Semendria featured Mark Boals, Tim "Ripper" Owens and Fabio Lione. The playlist gathers the band's videos and concert clips.
