About Wilma Goich
Wilma Goich is an Italian pop singer, born on 16 October 1945 in Cairo Montenotte in the province of Savona, Liguria. Her parents, Ugo Goich and Maria Zmichich, were Dalmatian Italians who had emigrated from Zara, today Zadar in Croatia, and that family origin is why she is on this site. Her father found work as a chemical technician at the Montecatini plant in Liguria.
Her whole career has been made in Italy, on its festival stages and on its television. The Sanremo Festival made her name: in 1965 she sang "Le colline sono in fiore" there, followed by "In un fiore" in 1966, "Per vedere quanto è grande il mondo" with The Bachelors in 1967, "Gli occhi miei" in 1968 and "Baci baci baci" in 1969. She also sang at Un disco per l'estate in 1966, 1967 and 1968, and at Canzonissima 1970 with "Presso la fontana".
In 1967 she married the singer Edoardo Vianello, and in the 1970s the couple formed the duo I Vianella. They had hits with "Semo gente de borgata", third at Un disco per l'estate 1972, "Fijo mio" in 1973 and "Volo di rondine", a finalist in 1974. The marriage ended in 1981, but the duo came back with the album C'eravamo tanto amati... in 2014 and È tutto bellissimo in 2018.
Television kept her in front of the public. She co-hosted Tris with Mike Bongiorno on Canale 5 in 1990 and 1991, and Domenica in on Rai 1 in 1996 and 1997. In 1994 she returned to Sanremo with the group Squadra Italia and "Una vecchia canzone italiana", and in 2022 and 2023 she was a contestant on Grande Fratello VIP. On 25 July 2025 she released a new single, "Le cose", a duet with Francesco Rapetti.
The playlist is one of her albums, with "Le colline sono in fiore", "In un fiore" and "Se stasera sono qui" among its songs.
