Remzie Osmani, also written Remzije, is a Kosovo Albanian folk singer, born on 10 May 1971 in the village of Mushtisht near Suhareka (Therandë). She is one of the best-known performers of Albanian popular folk music from Kosovo, and she has been on stage for more than four decades.
She first appeared on stage in 1977, still a child, with the song "Lute lute nëna bijën". Her talent was noticed early by her music teachers Ibrahim and Mustafë Hamiti and by her Albanian teacher Ali Selmanaj. She toured Kosovo and Macedonia as early as 1978 and sang for Radio Jehona in Kumanovo in 1983. As a teenager she joined the cultural society "Afërdita" in her native village, the same society in which Shkurte Fejza grew up as a singer, and later "Jehona" in Suhareka.
Her first album, Lulekuqja e Kosovës, came out in 1984, made together with the singer Qamili i Vogël. Kur bie tupani i parë followed with the help of Radio Television of Pristina, and then Kënga në zemër (1989), Pranverë e pajetë (1995), Për ju nga zemra (1998), Kënga jeton (2003), Si t'i them (2004), Kur zemra këndon (2005), Këngë malli (2007), Mollë e kuqe (2008), Dikur (2009) and Për mua je kryevepër (2012). Her singles include "Kush të solli në lagjen time" (2003), "Kush ia banë vetit me sy" (2005) and "Pse u ndamë" (2011).
In 2000 she performed with her folk group at the world exhibition Expo 2000 in Hanover. Her brother, Nexhat Osmani, is also a folk singer, and the two have recorded many duets; after their song "Merre merre zemrën time" she released the video for "Fale dashurinë". She also writes some of her songs herself: she wrote both the words and the music of "Kthehu motër", released in 2020 with Lumnie Ramadani.
