Nermin Puškar

Nermin Puškar, known as Puško, is a pop-rock singer, songwriter and producer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was born on 12 April 1978 in Bihać, and his family comes from Cazin. He writes the music and the words of his songs himself and plays guitar and piano on them.

He started with the band Krug, whose album Odsustvo kraja came out in 1997, and in 1998 he moved to Sarajevo. There he became the singer and guitarist of Knock Out, a rock band formed in 1999 with Eldin Bihorac on guitar, Emir Jugo on bass, Nihad Maličbegović on drums and Ahmed Osmić on keyboards. Their debut, Jednom kad sve ovo..., came out in 2001; Puškar wrote all of it, and it carried the hits "Dani prolaze", "Dođi" and "Ne volim te". At the Davorin music awards the band took the most prizes of the night. Tension grew while the next album was being prepared, and early in 2003 he left to concentrate on writing.

As a songwriter, arranger and producer he has worked for many singers of the former Yugoslavia, among them Dino Merlin, Deen, Tony Cetinski, Željko Joksimović, Marija Husar, Hari Mata Hari and Karolina Gočeva. In 2004 he was on the shortlist from which Bosnia and Herzegovina chose its Eurovision singer, and he finished second in the last round, behind Deen.

His first solo album, Novi svijet, was recorded in the summer of 2005 and released in 2007 by Menart and Hayat Production, with "Trag u pijesku", "Kriv" and the title song. A run of singles with videos followed: "Kad u ovu ljubav sumnjam" (2016), "Tiha voda" (2018), "Ljubi me" (2020), "Savršeno" (2022), "Ti si na redu" (2023), "Jači od iskušenja" with Rogati (2024), "Zauvijek pjesmo" and "Ljubavi hvala" (2025). Most were produced with Mahir Sarihodžić, and in 2025 they were gathered on the album Savršeno. On 1 November 2025 he played a concert at Dom mladih in Sarajevo.
