About Muff
Muff is a pop band from Ljubljana, formed in 2011. The idea came from guitarist Tadej Košir, and the group took its final shape when producer Anže Kacafura, known as Cazzafura, came on board and singer Senidah and bassist Grega Robič joined. Drummer Dorian Granda and keyboard player Miha Gorše complete the line-up. The name was suggested by Anže Langus Petrović, and Košir liked it because the Big Muff is a guitar distortion pedal.
Senidah, born Senida Hajdarpašić in Ljubljana, had released her first solo single shortly before she joined as lead singer. Muff's first single, "Ti daješ", came out in July 2011, followed by "Povej mi". Their breakthrough was "Naj sije v očeh": part of it was used in an advertisement on Slovenia's largest commercial TV station, and it became the most played Slovenian song on Slovenian radio in 2012. "Tvoje moje" and "Nov dan" followed.
In March 2014 the band entered EMA, the Slovenian Eurovision selection, with the English-language "Let Me Be (Myself)" and finished second behind Tinkara Kovač. Later that year they performed "Uspavanka" at the Viktor awards. Their debut album, Muff, came out on 15 November 2014; produced by Kacafura and written by the band, it carried eight singles and won the Zlata piščal award for the best Slovenian album of 2014.
More singles followed: "Aha" in 2015, "Where You Left Me" and "Bit" in 2016, "LV" in 2017 and "Ti si ta" in 2018, along with "Kardia", a collaboration with Susnyara, and in April 2018 the band released the EP Unity. In March 2018 Senidah put out the Serbian-language single "Slađana", which went viral on YouTube and started her solo career. The playlist gathers the band's videos from their official channel.
