About Lutke
Lutke (The Dolls) are a Belgrade power pop and indie rock band, formed in 1987 by the school friends Nenad Jovanović on guitar and vocals, Dejan Radovanović on guitar, Zlatko Šetvić on bass and Zoran Aković on drums, after earlier tries as Salame and Krvopije. A 1987 demo included "Ti si tako otrovna" and "Ja sam opet tu".
After army service Jovanović and Radovanović started again at the end of 1989 with the bassist Dejan Stanišić and the drummer Srđan Višnjić, and their demos were played on Radio B92. The first album, Moderan svet, came out on cassette in 1996 on L.V.O. Records, meant as a Belgrade answer to Britpop, with the songs "Ke putana" and "Moderan svet".
In 1997 Radovanović left and Đuro Kojić (guitar, violin) and Maja Mladenović (organ) joined. Polyester, produced by Đorđe Petrović with string arrangements, followed in October 1998, and the video for "Sjaj" became a hit across the country. The band broke up in 1999; Jovanović went on to found the electropop duo Foto, whose "Kosmos Srbija" was also a big hit.
Jovanović brought Lutke back in 2002 with Kojić, and after nine years the album Fontanela came out in 2007 on Ammonite Records, with "N.L.O." and a cover of "Noćna ptica" by Drago Mlinarec and Josipa Lisac. Spiralni snovi (2014, Ammonite) brought the singles "Beograd gori", "Kišobran", "Poslednji put" and "Neka živi ovaj dan" and a cover of Leo Martin's "Laku noć, draga".
