About Lea Mijatović

Lea Mijatović is a Croatian pop singer from Split who moved to Zagreb for her career. She showed her talent at five, at a children's festival of KUD Mozaik in Split, and studied solo singing at the Josip Hatze music school in Split with Sanja Erceg-Vrekalo.

As a teenager she worked with the songwriters Joško Banov, Nenad Ninčević and Nikša Bratoš, and she won awards at the Split festival, Melodije Hrvatskog Jadrana, the Zagreb festival, the Marco Polo festival, BH Eurosong and Melodije Mostara. In 2004 she reached the final of the talent show Coca Cola Music Stars and had a lead role in the film Prve minute slave. Her duet with Danijel Beni, "Kad si tu", written by Marko Tomasović, took second place at the Sunčane skale festival.

In Zagreb she sang as a guest with the band Buđenje, and at the 2008 CMC festival she performed "Zaboravljaš" with Marjan Brkić, the guitarist of Parni valjak. For seven years she was the singer of Teška industrija, recording the albums Nazovi album pravim imenom, Bili smo raja, XL nakon and Selfie and writing songs for the band such as "Trebam te kao nekada" and "Zapleši".

Her solo work is made with the Decibel studio team of Igor Ivanović and Marko Vojvodić. "Između oprosta i kajanja" was her Zagreb festival song in 2018, "Pogled kao plamen" with NoA followed there in 2019, and the same year she sang "Tebi pripadam" at Dora, the Croatian Eurovision selection. Her first solo album, Sva moja lica, came out in early 2020, together with the single "Zbogom", filmed in Istria, and "Nikada" with Miazma.

"Sebi dovoljna" (2022), written in the pandemic year, deals with a hard period of her life, and "Jeka", "Rubini" and "Sve je u redu" (2025) lead towards a new album. Lea Mijatović also teaches singing in Zagreb and coached the actor Boris Svrtan on the HRT show Zvijezde pjevaju.
