About Jasna Gospić
Jasna Gospić is a pop singer from Sarajevo, born there on 5 August 1961. She started singing at sixteen in Plima, a group founded by her brother Zoran Gospić, and it was there that members of Ambasadori heard her.
She joined Ambasadori in 1977 and sang with them until 1979, following Ismeta Dervoz in a line of singers that began with Zdravko Čolić and continued after her with Hari Varešanović of Hari Mata Hari. At Vaš šlager sezone in 1977 the band performed "Dođi u pet do pet", which became an evergreen. More hits followed: "Imam jedan strašan plan" at Vaš šlager sezone in 1978, "Tri bijela kruga" in Split and "Otkriću ti jednu važnu stvar" in Zagreb the same year, and "Ne traži me" in Opatija in 1979.
From 1980 she recorded on her own, starting with the single "Strepnja" / "Junaci novih dana" (Diskoton), which she sang at Vaš šlager sezone that year, and "Spremaj se na put" / "Ostavi me noćas" (PGP RTB, 1982). Through the 1980s she was a regular at the Split, Zagreb and Opatija festivals and Vaš šlager sezone. In 1984 "Hula-hop" came eleventh in the Yugoslav selection for Eurovision, and at Split in 1985 she sang Joško Banov's "Zar je voljeti grijeh", her best-remembered song. In 1986 she sang "Grlim te prvi put" in Opatija as a duet with Kemal Monteno. She also received the Yugoslav estrada award.
Her LP Šećer i so (Diskos, 1988) was made with Fazla, and her second LP, released by Diskoton in 1991, had songs by writers including Hari Varešanović, Saša Lošić and Dino Merlin. In 1992 she moved to Prague, where she worked in fashion, representing international brands in the Czech Republic.
She came back to music with Kud puklo da puklo (City Records, 2004), made with the brothers Adi and Edo Mulahalilović. In 2005 she entered the Bosnian Eurovision selection with "Čarolija" and sang "Romantika" in Budva; Romantika became the title of her 2008 album on Hayat Production. Sarajevo meni putuje (2011), whose title song is a duet with Željko Samardžić, and Lišće sa Balkana (2014) followed.
In 2017 Jasna Gospić marked forty years on stage with Muzici s ljubavlju, an album of duets with Sergej Ćetković, Halid Bešlić, Goran Karan, Željko Samardžić, Frano Lasić, Davorin Popović and Kemal Monteno, among others, and a concert in Sarajevo's Dom mladih. On 23 October 2018 she gave her first solo concert in Belgrade, at the Kombank dvorana.
