About Hasna Kašmo
Hasna Kašmo is a Bosnian singer of folk music and sevdalinka, recording since the late 1970s. Her first single came out in 1979 on Diskos, with "Mezimica" and "Dva koraka do ljubavi beše", accompanied by the ensemble of Branimir Đokić.
Much of her work was made with the composer Omer Pobrić. He wrote, recorded and produced her 1981 Jugoton single "Ljubavi, živote moj" / "Ti si za nas kriv", played with his folk orchestra, and produced her album Ako me u srce primiš, released by Sarajevo Disk in 1983 with songs such as "Igraj dragi sa mnom" and "Volim ga, majko".
Her album Bogata sam imam svega came out on the Embex label in Germany in 1994. Next to traditional songs such as "Duhni mi, duhni", "Kolika je duga zima bila" and "Tamburalo momče" it has "Negdje u daljine" by Rade Jovanović, "Čekah te da dođeš" by Safet Isović and "Lopovi" by Jozo Penava. In 1996 she sang backing vocals on Osman Hasanbašić's album Život piše roman, whose songs were sung by Halid Bešlić.
With Omer Pobrić she recorded the sevdalinka "Kraj tanana šadrvana", which appeared on the compilation Bentbaša - Sevdalinka. Bosanska ljubavna pjesma (2006) and on Sevdalinka: Sarajevo Love Songs (2007), next to Damir Imamović, Jadranka Stojaković and Emina Zečaj. The playlist here holds her album Bogata sam imam svega and her first single.
