About Fredi Miler
Fredi Miler, who also performs as Fredy Miler, is a Slovenian folk-pop singer and songwriter from Carinthia (Koroška), born on 22 May 1967 in Črna na Koroškem. Before music became his living he worked as a miner in the Mežica lead and zinc mine, and the press has called him the best-known Slovenian miner among singers and the best-known singer among miners.
He started at 12, when he learned to play the guitar, and spent his first twenty years in music with the folk ensemble Koroški trio. All of Slovenia got to know him in 2004 through "Vedno si sanjala njega", whose home-made music video spread across the Slovenian internet; its lyrics were by Marijan Smode. After that he went solo, and his first album, also called Vedno si sanjala njega, came out in 2005 with songs such as "Vem, da jutri boš prišla".
In 2008 he released "Voljena", a melancholy song about lost love sung in Croatian, a change from the fast, cheerful hits he was known for. In January 2009 he presented a new, more modern version of "Vem, da jutri boš prišla" with Jasmina of Duo Harmony on backing vocals. That year he also took part in the reality show Kmetija slavnih, and in November 2009 he released his fourth album, Na kmetiji, with ten new songs he wrote himself.
By 2025, after 42 years in music, Fredi Miler counted about 130 released songs, and he was mainly making music for the Croatian market, with releases such as "Nek se čuje moja pjesma". His label releases are gathered here from his Topic channel, among them "Gora", "Šentanev", "Daj porini porini", "Športno srce" and "Srnica".
