About Eva Marija

Eva Marija is a singer-songwriter and violinist, born Eva Marija Kavaš Puc on 24 December 2005 in Luxembourg City. Both her parents are Slovenian, her father Martin Puc from Ljubljana and her mother Nataša Kavaš Puc from Beltinci, and that is why she is on Muzika-Balkan under Slovenia. They moved to Luxembourg in 2003 to work at the institutions of the European Union, and she was born and raised there. As of 2026 she is in her final year of songwriting studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.

She went to the European School of Luxembourg II and studied at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, which gave her a broad musical training, and she sings and plays the violin. Her first single, "When 2 Lovers Meet", came out in 2021, followed by "Toxic Trait" in 2023, "Time to Go" in 2025 and "Sweet Child". She writes and sings in English.

On 30 October 2025 the broadcaster RTL Lëtzebuerg announced her as one of the acts of the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 with "Mother Nature". In the final on 24 January 2026 she won both the jury vote and the public vote and with it the right to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. "Mother Nature" reached number 25 in Luxembourg.

At Eurovision she sang fourth in the second semi-final on 14 May 2026 but did not reach the grand final, the first time Luxembourg missed the final since returning to the contest in 2024. The playlist follows the song from the national final to the Eurovision stage, with acoustic and folk versions and her other singles.
