About Esad Plavi

Esad Plavi, born Esad Muharemović in Tešanj in 1965, is a Bosnian pop-folk singer. His stage name means "Esad the Blond". He is the twin brother of the singer Jasmin Muharemović.

His life was marked by the early death of his father. His talent was discovered at his brother's wedding, where he sang for the guests, and in 1989 he signed his first contract. A year later he released his debut album, Ne kuni što si voljela (1990).

More albums followed through the 1990s: Reci srećo (1991), Ima dana i kafana (1993) and Daš, ne daš (1994), and after a pause Preboljet ću ove noći (2000). Later records include Kao nekad (2005) and Ostavi nešto svoje (2009), and in 2010 he shared a greatest-hits album with Osman Hadžić. He records for the label BN Music.

His best-known songs are "Šeherezada", especially popular with young women, and "Babo", along with "Vesna" and "Usne imam da te ljubim ja". In 2009 he sang "Dvije zemlje" at the festival in Vogošća near Sarajevo.
