About Dreletronic
Dreletronic is a Croatian hip-hop and rock group founded in the early 1990s by Davor Dretar, known as Drele. Their songs are comic portraits of Hrvatsko zagorje, the hilly region north of Zagreb: they parody the local kajkavian dialect and way of life, and sing about its food, such as beans, cabbage and bacon, and its customs, above all the yearly pig slaughter.
Drele wrote most of the lyrics himself, while the music came with outside help, above all from Boris Vincetić, Davor Devčić and Boytronic. The group released two albums and one compilation. The first album, Se bum vas tužil, came out in 1992 with "Zagorje Delite", "Moja kravica", "Romeo i Julia", "Martinov Božić" and "Repa, grah i buncek". The second, V tuđoj kuruzi, followed in 1994 with "Zagorci smo od rođenja", "Kolinje", "Oj suseda, suseda", "Gemišt", "Dedek Nostradamus", "Bapska rit", "Mrak, mrak, črni mrak" and "Čušpajz". "Kolinje" and "Bapska rit" were among their best-known hits.
Drele, born in Zagreb on 13 September 1966, later became a well-known radio and television presenter: he hosted the reality show Farma from 2008 to 2010, finished fifth on Zvijezde pjevaju in 2009 with singer Zorica Kondža, and acted in the series Bitange i princeze and Zauvijek susjedi.
The playlist gathers the songs of both Dreletronic albums.
