Božidar Wolfand Wolf

Božidar Wolfand, known as Wolf, is a Slovenian pop singer, composer and producer from Hrastnik, born on 24 January 1962. He worked with the groups Rendez-Vous, F+, Veter and Avtomobili, and released his first solo record in 1986.

That year he won the expert jury award at the Pop delavnica festival with "Suženj ritma" (music by Tadej Hrušovar, lyrics by Helena Banič) and sang "Ne laži mi" at the Opatija festival. His first album, Wolf, came out on ZKP RTVL in 1986, followed on Helidon by Sida twist (1988), Angel varuh (1992) and Do pekla in nazaj (1993), plus several collections of his hits. His best-known songs from those years include "Moja mala princesa" (1989), "Ti boš moja" (1990), "Angel varuh", "Koliko solz" and "Aleluja Baby" (1991), "Edino ti" (1992) and "Zasavski zvonovi" (1993). His channel also keeps "Oh ne, Cherie" from his Rendez-Vous days.

Wolf has written many songs for others, about 200 by 1993, most with lyrics by his wife Helena Banič. He arranged the pop side of the first cassette of the group Veter in 1988, which sold 25,000 copies thanks to "Bela snežinka", and composed "Vzela si bom vse" to lyrics by Simona Weiss. With Helena Banič he wrote most of the songs on Ker ljubim (1997) by the group Malibu, and with Mirko Šlibar "Na valentinovo", which Malibu sang to the top of the viewers' vote at the 2009 Ptuj festival.

He spent time training in music production in New York and England. In 2020 he co-wrote "Maybe Someday" for EMA, sat on the jury that chose singers for the festival Slovenske note in Hrastnik and took part in the TV3 show Moja pesem, tvoj glas. His newer videos include "Prihajam domov", "Najlepše stvari" and "Če t'je lušn me kušn".
