Batista Cadillac

Batista Cadillac is a Slovenian pop band from Ljubljana. It began in 2013 as a duo of the singer Urban Lutman and the guitarist Matija Koritnik and grew into a full band in 2019.

In 2013 the duo sang "Barbara", their first single, at the Festival slovenskega šansona. In 2016 they reached a wider audience on the sixth season of Slovenija ima talent: the judge Marjetka Vovk gave them her golden buzzer, and they went through the semi-final to the final on 18 December 2016. On 2 December 2017 they opened for the Gipsy Kings at Stožice in Ljubljana.

In 2019 six musicians from the band Pijammies (later P'Jays) joined them, and from 2020 they worked on a new direction with the producer Martin Štibernik; in 2021 the line-up changed again. The singles of those years made their name on the radio: "Pust me do besede" (2018), "Stop" and "Neviden (Ali veš, da me ljubiš?)" with Thomas March (2019), and "Magnolije" and "Generacija neba" (2020). "Pust me do besede", "Magnolije" and "Generacija neba" were all songs of the week on Val 202, and "Pust me do besede" and "Magnolije" were the station's third and fourth most played songs of 2019 and 2020. In 2021 the band had two Zlata piščal nominations, for performer and newcomer of 2020.

Their first album, Batista Cadillac, came out in 2022, the year they sang "Mim pravil" at EMA, the Slovenian selection for Eurovision, and finished second overall: first with the jury and third with the public. In 2023 they released a new version of "Pust me do besede" with AMAYA, and they also recorded "Od početka" with Senidah. The second album, II, followed in 2026.

Today Batista Cadillac is Urban Lutman on vocals, Matija Koritnik and Jakob Podlesek on guitars, Jakob Zlatinšek on keyboards, Sebastjan Podlesnik on bass and Matjaž Skaza on drums. Their songs are gathered here in one playlist.
