Ayşegül Aldinç

Ayşegül Aldinç is a Turkish pop singer and actress. She was born on 28 September 1957 in Istanbul and grew up in the city's Cihangir quarter, and her whole career has been made in Turkey. She is on Muzika-Balkan because of her Bosnian roots: Turkish Wikipedia says plainly that her father's side is Bosniak, although no source names the place in Bosnia the family came from. The sources do not say where she lives today.

She is the daughter of the journalist and sports writer Orhan Aldinç and the art teacher Süheyla Aldinç. She studied ceramics at the Academy of Applied Fine Arts in Istanbul, taught painting and music in Istanbul schools for a short time and spent six years as a designer at the Yıldız porcelain factory.

Her first record, the 1978 single "Hastane" / "Yorgun ve Mutlu", was made with Mehmet Teoman. In 1981 she won the Turkish selection with "Dönme Dolap", sung with the Modern Folk Trio, and represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, where the song finished 18th.

From 1985 she sang in clubs, and her first solo album, ...Ve Ayşegül Aldinç, came out in 1988 with the support of Aysel Gürel, Timur Selçuk and Barış Manço. Its song "Kara Sevda" made her known all over Turkey. Benden Söylemesi (1991), Alev Alev (1993), Söze Ne Hacet (1996), Nefes (2000) and Sek'iz (2016) followed, and between 1985 and 1998 she toured Europe, the Soviet Union, the United States, China and the Middle East.

She is just as well known as an actress. She made her film debut in Katırcılar in 1987, and her role in Gerilla brought her the Best Actress award at the Adana Golden Orange festival. On television she played in series such as Aşk ve Gurur, Sultan Makamı and Pis Yedili. Later singles include "O Kız" (2010), "Li Lal Lal La La" (2011) and "Bir Tek Gördüğüm" (2015), and her duet "Durum Leyla" with Gökhan Türkmen won a best duet award in 2016.

The playlist is the "Klip" collection on her own channel, with "Ağla", "O Kız", "Li Lal Lal La", "Nefes" and more.
