About Ansambel Aktual
Ansambel Aktual is a young Slovenian band from Moravske Toplice in Prekmurje, playing narodnozabavna and pop music. It was founded in 2018 by three classmates, Gašper Marič on accordion and vocals, Franc Lukač on guitar and vocals and Jure Fartelj on bass and vocals, who had played together in the school band of the secondary vocational and technical school in Murska Sobota.
The same year they released their first song, the polka "Če bi skupaj poletela", followed in 2019 by their only waltz, "Prekmurje moj dom". Both were named song of the year on Radio Murski val, and "Če bi skupaj poletela" was also Radio Tomi's song of the year in 2020. That year they recorded "Ljubezen v zraku" with Laura Menard, the anthem of an international competition for young beekeepers, and drummer Uroš Berden joined the band.
As a four-piece they released the polka "Lepa mala" in spring 2021. After Fartelj left, the trio put out "Bella Bellissima", Golica TV's song of the week in August 2021, and at the end of that year Denis Pozderec joined on keyboards, bass and vocals, completing the line-up that still plays today. With the polka "Šminka" in spring 2022 the band became known across Slovenia, and later that year "Daj povej" and "Učitelj'ca" followed; "Učitelj'ca" is their biggest hit and their first song to pass a million views on YouTube. Since then they have released "Soseda" (2023), "Igra za 2" and "Nina" (2024) and "Kava" (2025).
They have appeared three times on RTV Slovenija's V petek zvečer: with "Šminka" in 2022, and in 2023 with "Oženil se bom" by the Prekmurje band Magnet, which they have played at every concert since, and with "Najlepše je doma" by Slapovi, sung together with Vzrock. They have also played on Skupaj po domače, Poletje na Golici, Jesen na Golici and Zimski pozdrav.
