Sanja Trumbić

Sanja Trumbić is a Croatian pop singer from Split. She was one of the well-known voices of the Croatian festival scene in the 1990s, and her husband, the composer Teo Trumbić, is credited beside her on her albums.

She sang at festivals in Split, Mostar, Neum and Knin, at Zagorska krijesnica and at the Radijski festival, and recorded duets with Coco, Bralić and Žiga. Among her songs are "Na kavicu svrati", "Ljubavna međimurska" and "Hallo mama". Her albums Marine, ženi me! (1996) and Izvor (2001) came out on Campus, the second with the title song released as a music video.

Later she turned to writing. She is a professor of Croatian language and literature, speaks English and German, and writes screenplays for musicals, films and series. Her novel Da mi je biti Mišo Kovač follows a young bus driver from Split who dreams of becoming as famous as Mišo Kovač, whose song "Dalmacija u mom oku" is her favourite. She has said that she misses the stage and the audience.

The playlist here is her album Izvor, from "Tko si ti" and "Suze" to "Volim te još".
