About Nipplepeople

Nipplepeople are an electronic pop duo from Zagreb, formed in 2008. The two members perform in masks and keep their identities to themselves. Their songs, sung in Croatian, are usually described as downtempo or synthwave, and over the years they have won a large following, not least in the LGBTQ+ community.

Their debut single, "Broj", came out in early 2009; its video, a live performance from MTV Adria's Hitorama, premiered in February 2011. The breakthrough came with "Sutra" in 2010, which won the Loud & Queer award for single of the year in Serbia. In July 2010 both songs appeared on a compilation of the label Yammat that was nominated for a Porin, and the duo also sang backing vocals on Yammat's single "Želim" and teamed up with Agramsville on "Sanjam".

In March 2017 they released their version of Zdenka Kovačiček's 1981 hit "Frka", with music by Kire Mitrev and lyrics adapted from Slavica Maras's poetry collection Konstatacija jedne mačke; it became a hit in Croatia and Serbia. Their other songs include "Tajna", "Jelena", "Balkan Express", "Tebi", "Bolji" and "Ne volim te", and two songs with Filip Mitrović for the film Sunce mamino.

Nipplepeople have played regional festivals such as Exit, Sea Star and Terraneo. On 5 December 2024 they were announced as one of the 24 acts of Dora 2025, the Croatian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with "Znak", and in the final on 1 March 2025 they finished seventh.
