About Nino Pršeš

Nino Pršeš, born Vahidin Pršeš in Sarajevo, is a Bosnian pop singer, composer and keyboard player who represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with "Hano", a song he wrote, composed and sang himself. Ethno music has been a strong influence on his songs.

He went to the music high school in Sarajevo and studied music theory and pedagogy at the Sarajevo Music Academy. Before his solo career he played keyboards in many pop and rock bands and arranged songs for other Bosnian performers.

On 10 March 2001 he won BH Eurosong, the Bosnian national selection, held in the studios of the public broadcaster in Sarajevo: an eight-member jury gave "Hano" 69 points, the highest total of the nineteen entries. At the Eurovision final on 12 May 2001 he finished 14th of 23 countries with 29 points.

His debut solo album, Ženi se, gave him several radio and TV hits, among them the title song, "Sad mi krivo" and "Lamiya". Two more solo albums followed, 1/1 and Rum-pum. From 2008 to 2011 Nino Pršeš lived in Slovenia, where he worked as a music producer and production director.
